Privacy Policy

Just Neighbors retains information on all donors who contribute or participate in Just Neighbors as donors or volunteers.  We collect contact information (name, address, phone, email addresses) and volunteer hours and assignments through checks and credit card donations on our website.

We use this contact information to distribute our newsletter, annual or special solicitation letters, recruitment of volunteers, and informational mailings.  We use aggregate data for program improvement and auditing purposes.

Donors may be recognized in our publications.  Gift acknowledgment letters and gift reply envelopes inform donors that their names may be listed in publications unless they notify Just Neighbors that their gift should be kept anonymous.  Notification should be communicated to the Development Director.

Donor information is entered into a database where it is stored on Just Neighbor's donor data bse.  Only designated staff members can access the database with usernames and passwords.

We collect sensitive information (credit card donations) using PayPal.  PayPal protects information using physical, technical, and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure and alteration.  Some of the safeguards PayPal uses are firewalls and data encryption, physical access controls to our data centers, and information access authorization controls.

In addition, Just Neighbors policies define the limits of staff access and use of donor information.

Just Neighbors does not rent, exchange or sell donor information or use tracking software to grab personal information about visitors to our website.  Donors may opt out of mail or email contacts from us by notifying Just Neighbors as follows:

Phone:  260-458-9772

Mail:     2925 E State Blvd., Fort Wayne IN 46805

Email:  Joshua@ihnfw.org

At Just Neighbors volunteers primarily assist the organization and the families it serves through their partner congregation or community group. Just Neighbors professional staff members provide ongoing training and support to Just Neighbors Volunteers. Volunteers provide both practical support and compassionate hospitality for our guest families.

Individuals can help in several ways.  For instance, families can purchase items on our Wish List. If you have an idea for a project or a skill to offer, please contact us.

Volunteer Coordination

Each Network congregation or organization has a Volunteer Coordinator who oversees the hospitality program within their congregation or organization. This includes planning menus and the recruitment of support volunteers.

If you would like more information on becoming a Volunteer or Volunteer Coordinator, please contact us.
