Rev. Anderson served previously as Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Wayne, as Executive Director of the Samaritan Counseling Center, and as Associate Director of the Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County.
He also has worked as a campus minister, hospital chaplain, psychotherapist, social worker, health care administrator, and adjunct college professor.
Rev. Anderson holds graduate degrees in theology, psychology, and social work. He is an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the United Church of Christ.
Nominated by the City of Fort Wayne, Terry Anderson received the “Gandhi King Ikeda Community Award” in 2008 from the Martin Luther King Jr. International Center of Morehouse College for “lifelong commitment to social justice, community-building, interfaith and interracial dialogue…distinguished leadership of American society for human rights, humanitarianism and peace … extraordinary compassion for those in need and efforts to promote unity through diversity.” Previous recipients of this award include Rosa Parks, former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young, several members of congress, community leaders, and international advocates for peace and justice.
Rev. Anderson was the longtime chair of the Peace and Justice Commission of Allen County, founding member of the Mayor’s Commission for Interfaith Understanding, co-chair of the Northeast Indiana Interfaith Alliance, and a founder and panelist on the “Faith to Faith” public access television program. He is the liaison between the Allen County Planning Council on Homelessness and the city’s Case Collaboration System. He is married with two young adult children and a 165 lbs. mastiff.
Lynda Rogers has served as program director of Just Neighbors Interfaith Homeless Network since 2001. Her responsibilities include staff supervision, facilities operation, and volunteer coordination. Prior to her work with Just Neighbors IHN, Lynda served in management positions with the YWCA Women’s Shelter and Community Home Health. She served her country for ten years in active duty with the United States Navy. Lynda completed a degree in Business Administration with Indiana Institute of Technology.
Shirley Rork has worked with Just Neighbors Interfaith Homeless Network since 2014, previously serving as Housing Coordinator for Vincent Village. She holds a degree in Human Services from IVY Tech. She is the primary contact person with the clients/guests of Just Neighbors IHN, working with them in such areas as employment, budgeting, and housing as they move toward independence and self-sufficiency.
